Sustainability - values within the SBP organization
Sustainable Business Partner is founded on concern for the environment and the realization of each organization's unique environmental goals.
We operate according to the ISO 26000 standard, which is an international standard for social responsibility that provides guidance to companies and organizations in their sustainability efforts. The standard is based on seven core areas: organizational governance, human rights, labor practices, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, and local community development, always ensuring the highest possible safety throughout the entire value chain.
Following the guidelines that apply according to ISO 26000 is therefore a matter of course for us. In addition to this, we continuously keep ourselves updated on news, practices, and recommendations from the UN Global Compact, whose purpose is to create changes in the business world linked to the future's “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs) for Agenda 2030. As a player in green technology, we want to take responsibility, and our sustainability goals should reflect this.
All decisions in our organization aim to reduce our and our customers' impact on the environment. At SBP, we are constantly updating our offerings in the pursuit of the most beneficial solutions for you as a customer. Environmental work begins on our own premises, where, when purchasing office furniture, we choose to buy used furniture made of environmentally sustainable materials whenever possible. Our internal travel policies primarily involve choosing more environmentally friendly collective alternatives, and the company cars we provide are exclusively 100% electric.
Of course, it is also of the utmost importance for us as a player in Greentech to be as environmentally sustainable as possible in our delivery to you as a customer. When choosing materials and technology (for example, solar modules), we select products that maintain a recognized high environmental standard, while also taking into account other influencing factors, such as freight.
As technology is constantly evolving and production facilities are moving between countries and continents, continued optimization of processes related to product selection is something we are continuously working on. For installations, we have clear guidelines and requirements regarding how we consider our environment and its vegetation, as well as how we handle any packaging and other residual products.
Policy
CSR work is fundamental and interwoven into our company's DNA, its processes, and culture. Everything we do affects our world, and here we, as a company, together with our partners, must take our responsibility through our joint projects. We, therefore, conduct an environmental and recycling policy to clarify what applies to all parties involved. Carpooling to workplaces should be done to the greatest extent possible. The means of transport should be the one that gives the lowest environmental impact. Any purchases of products must always consider environmental aspects in all stages.
Energy-saving measures have been taken, and adequate software programs have been developed to minimize paper consumption. The vast majority of contracts and agreements are managed and signed digitally. The handover documentation to the client is handed over in digital form as long as the client does not request otherwise. All remaining material from the project must either be saved and reused in the next project. Alternatively, the packaging and waste must be submitted to an environmental station that takes care of the material.
