We are constantly looking for new innovative solutions in greentech. We are keeping up with the development of the green technologies of the future globally and make sure to offer the best from the market according to your needs and conditions.
In the last ten years alone, green technology has taken enormous strides and solar cells in particular have become a symbol of the transition to sustainable energy. Photovoltaic panels, on the other hand, are nothing new in Sweden - one of the oldest plants is close to 40 years old and still produces energy from the sun. Albeit on a smaller scale than a panel has the capacity to do today.
In recent years, more and more areas of greentech have attracted attention. Driving an electric car is becoming more and more common as they can drive longer distances and more charging points are being built throughout Europe. A great need that has emerged as a result is electric car charging at both offices and commercial properties and adapted technical solutions that simplify their use.
In addition, energy storage is an area that has been discussed a lot lately. The development in the area has taken place at a record pace in line with the international success of solar cells and there are several methods to store the energy you produce yourself. Lithium-ion batteries, which are the same storage unit in electric cars, are still the most prominent in energy storage, although more and more methods, such as hydrogen, are starting to enter the market. This proves that the need to optimize their energy consumption is becoming increasingly important when companies build their own photovoltaic system.
What else the future has to offer can only be predicted. However, we make sure to always keep up with the technological development and some of it we report on through our news, which you can read here.
It is not only the general solar radiation and its approach that affect production in your locality, but it is also about local weather conditions. As an example, the Stockholm region generally has more hours of sunshine than Dalarna, even though the two areas basically have similar basin radiation. In addition, the number of hours of sunshine does not differ much from, among other things, solar-dense Germany.
When dimensioning the solar power plant, account should always be taken of the surroundings of the property. This includes the shadow image from the ventilation on the roof, how nearby properties are located or how the shading from trees moves over the area of the intended production. Furthermore, consideration must be given to all the different directions of the system and its inclination towards the sun's orbit locally over the year.
Technology choices are a key issue that should always be taken into account when constructing a production facility. The production facility's LCA, or life cycle assessment, is at least 30 years old and the system will over time be exposed to wind, rain, heat development, snow loads and other weather phenomena. Therefore, it is important for us to carefully choose the right technology for you, such as installation systems, based on each unique prerequisite for your property.
We at SBP always work according to your wishes, requirements and conditions. Based on this, the facility is dimensioned and recommended for investment, taking into account the above points and the consumption pattern of the property. Then a complete investment base is delivered where you get a final facility visualized in 3D on your property together with a careful production and consumption calculation based on your local conditions.
It is your prerequisites and functional wishes that guide the technology choice at the solar power plant in combination with our experience and we help you all the way from feasibility study to installed plant. In addition, it can be advantageous to be able to manage self-produced electricity. The solution is energy storage and you can read more about it here.
We handle the entire process from design to implementation with ongoing service agreements and documentation. Since the lifetime of solar energy differs so significantly from other technology in real estate, the need for well-prepared handover documentation to you as a customer also increases. This in the form of relationship documents, schedules, make instructions, operation and maintenance, troubleshooting routines, and more. If you are also in need of additional documentation in addition to our extensive documentation package, we are happy to help add it uniquely to you.
Since we only work with qualitative and global manufacturers in solar energy, you can feel confident that we have taken into account the next 10-20 years in terms of quality. At the same time, we cast an extra watchful eye to ensure that their other sustainability work complies with our values and our purchasing policy.
In our overall offer, we always ensure that the production of solar electricity will be completely painless for you as a company. We integrate digital measurement over the plant, which both you and we can take advantage of to constantly optimize operations. In addition, we offer to produce certificates, guarantees, take care of building permit processes and apply for green grants, and more.
The warranty period is something to consider when you choose to build solar cells on the roof. The fact that you ensure operation over time provides security to you as a property owner, your tenants or future businesses.
If you are a customer of ours through our offer "Co-operation", SaaS or PPA, we take full responsibility for your facility for a long time to come and you save time to fully focus on your own business. We also have other offers that are suitable for different conditions and make it easy to adapt the business to your needs: read more in-depth about our offers here.
Integrating solar energy production into your business and property entails a great responsibility from a safety perspective. Most international studies indicate that the lack of expertise in both technology selection and installation entails, among other things, an increased fire risk around solar energy. In addition, there are several currents, frequencies and sensitive control equipment that need to be protected both on the AC and DC side of an implementation. Furthermore, many installations are also sensitive from a work environment perspective and need to be carefully planned before the start of implementation – this responsibility is entirely the property owner's via the developer responsibility.
We at SBP take all of the above and much more into account when prioritising our projects according to the following order in both technology selection and installation.
1. Qualitative technology with high security functionality
2. A safe working environment and installation process
3. Future-proof technology choices with long warranty periods
4. Production and profitability optimization based on your return requirements
