Galleria Duvan in Karlstad has taken new steps towards green energy production. At the end of April, the installation of a new photovoltaic system on the roof began - a project carried out in collaboration between the property owner Stadsrum and SBP. After just 25 days, the system was ready on the roof.

- "This is our first project with the property owner Stadsrum, and it has been a fantastic collaboration from the start. We have had clear dialogues, good structure and a common understanding of the project's goals," says Mobin Jafari, project manager at SBP.

The 293 kWp plant at the centrally located Galleria Duvan has been installed with SBP's system solution that combines the highest fire safety, stable operation and market-leading performance.

- "It's great to be able to deliver this kind of quality SBP solution in such a central location as Duvan. We have also used the newest panels with the highest possible efficiency that the industry can offer today," says Mobin Jafari.

Installing a solar plant in the center of Karlstad has not been without its challenges. Logistics and deliveries have required careful planning and close cooperation with local actors and authorities.

- "We are very grateful for the way Karlstad Municipality has handled the process. Their smooth handling has been crucial in keeping our tight schedule," says Mobin Jafari.

Galleria Duvan, which was built in 1987 and completely renovated in 2012, covers approximately 18 600 square meters, divided into two levels of retail and three levels of offices. Thanks to the photovoltaic installation, about one third of the Duvan's electricity consumption will now be covered by self-generated renewable energy.

- It's always inspiring to work with clients who have a clear focus on sustainability. Stadsrum has ambitious goals, and almost three quarters of their properties are already environmentally certified. With this initiative, they are reducing carbon emissions for Duvan by 3.46 tons per year - the equivalent of planting 159 trees.

Behind the day-to-day running of Duvan is the management company Egeryds, which is also praised by SBP for its role in the project.

- Egeryds has been an important part of making the project run so smoothly. Clear communication channels, good routines and quick feedback mean that we speak the same language - this is invaluable in projects like this.

According to Mobin Jafari, this is just the beginning of a long-term partnership with Stadsrum.

- We look forward to more joint ventures. When you have a team where everyone is working towards the same goal, the result is really good - and that's exactly what we've had here in Karlstad.
