Galleria Duvan in Karlstad has taken new steps towards green energy production. At the end of April, the installation of a new solar power system began on the roof – a project carried out in collaboration between the property owner Stadsrum and SBP. The facility was completed on the roof after only 25 days.

– This is our first project with the property owner Stadsrum, and it has been a fantastic collaboration from the start. We have had clear dialogues, good structure and a common understanding of the project's goals, says Mobin Jafari, project manager at SBP.

The facility at the centrally located Galleria Duvan is 293 kWp and has been installed with SBP's system solution, which combines the highest fire safety, stable operation and market-leading performance.

– It feels extra great to be able to deliver this type of quality that an SBP solution has in such a central location as Duvan. We have also used the newest panels with the highest possible efficiency that the industry can offer today, says Mobin Jafari.

Installing a solar power system in the middle of central Karlstad has not been without its challenges. Logistics and deliveries have required careful planning and close cooperation with local actors and authorities.

– We are very grateful for how Karlstad municipality has handled the process. Their smooth processing has been crucial to maintaining our tight schedule, says Mobin Jafari.

Galleria Duvan, which was built in 1987 and completely renovated in 2012, covers approximately 18,600 square meters spread over two floors with shops and three floors with offices. Thanks to the solar cell installation, approximately one third of Galleria Duvan's electricity consumption will now be covered by self-produced, renewable energy.

– It is always inspiring to work with customers who have a clear sustainability focus. Stadsrum has ambitious goals, and almost three quarters of their properties are already environmentally certified. With this investment, they reduce carbon dioxide emissions for Duvan by 3.46 tons per year – which corresponds to planting 159 trees.

Behind the daily operation of Duvan is the management company Egeryds, which also receives praise from SBP for its role in the project.

– Egeryds has been an important part in making the project run so well. Clear communication paths, good routines and quick feedback mean that we speak the same language – it is invaluable in projects like this.

According to Mobin Jafari, this is just the beginning of a long-term collaboration with Stadsrum.

– We look forward to more joint ventures. When you have a team where everyone strives towards the same goal, the result is really good – and that is exactly what we have had here in Karlstad.
