The beautifully located profile building Karlstad CCC will have the capacity to produce 270,000 kWh every year - a clear ambition to be a role model for the city, says Geri Zyka, project manager at SBP.

The profile building Karlstad Congress Culture Centre, or Karlstad CCC for short, is located in the center of the city, surrounded by the Klarälven river and the Pråm canal. The conference facility was awarded the municipality's Building Prize in 2011, the same year the building was completed.

Since March, solar cells also adorn the building's roof and are now producing their first kilowatt hours of solar energy. This follows a complete delivery by SBP, and project manager Geri Zyka praises the initiative.
- "It is one of Karlstad's most beautiful buildings and also a landmark for the city. Through this investment, there is a clear ambition to be a role model for the city's green transition," he says.

The installed module power is 320 kW, which means that the plant is estimated to produce about 270,000 kWh per year. Due to the activities in its premises, with permanent tenants as well as conferences and events, great demands were placed on the coordination to achieve success with the project. Geri Zyka believes that the cooperation with the client Nordika Fastigheter was key to making the project run smoothly.
- "Thanks to their professionalism and sensitivity to both the needs of the business and our approach to the work, we ended up with a fantastic facility," says Geri Zyka.
