The beautifully situated landmark building Karlstad CCC will have the capacity to produce 270,000 kWh each year. – A clear ambition to be a role model for the city, says Geri Zyka, project manager at SBP.

The landmark building Karlstad Congress Culture Centre, shortly called Karlstad CCC, is beautifully situated surrounded by both the Klarälven river and the Pråmkanalen canal in the city center. The conference facility was awarded the municipality's Building Award in 2011, the same year the building was completed.

Since March, solar panels have also adorned the building's roof and are now producing their first kilowatt-hours of solar energy. This follows a complete delivery by SBP, and responsible project manager Geri Zyka praises the initiative.
– It is one of Karlstad's absolutely finest buildings and also a landmark for the city. Through this investment, there is a clear ambition to be a role model for the city's green transition, he says.

The installed module power is 320 kW, which means that the plant is estimated to produce approximately 270,000 kWh per year. In view of the operations in its premises, with both permanent tenants and conferences and events, there were great demands on coordination to achieve success with the project. Geri Zyka believes that the collaboration with the client Nordika Fastigheter was the key to making the project run smoothly.
– Thanks to their professionalism and sensitivity to both the business's needs and our approaches in the work, a fantastically fine facility was ultimately created, says Geri Zyka.
