The facility on the property in Knivsta has a peak output of 45 kWp, which provides an annual production of approximately 39,000 kilowatt hours. This means a saving of 510 kilograms of carbon dioxide each year. It is the second project in the collaboration between SBP and Lansa Fastigheter, where solar energy has previously been installed on a property in Karlstad.
The project in Knivsta was carried out during an intensive period from the end of February to the beginning of March. With the help of careful planning and close collaboration with the property's operations staff, the project went very smoothly and hence the relatively short installation time, according to Mobin Jafari, responsible project manager from SBP.
– There was a clear common goal from the beginning. The fact that Lansa Fastigheter was very committed, could make quick decisions and everyone involved had a strong drive was crucial for the project's success. It is clear that the sustainability issue is strong with them, says Mobin Jafari.
For Lansa Fastigheter, this is not an isolated initiative, but part of a broader commitment to the climate. The company works strategically to reduce its emissions and aims to reach net zero by 2045 at the latest. In 2023, they reduced greenhouse gas emissions from their own operations by over 70 percent, including through the transition to fossil-free district heating and energy efficiency.
– The investment in solar energy is seen as a natural step in Lansa's sustainability journey. In addition to the climate benefits, it also means lower operating costs and increased value for the property. In addition, it becomes more attractive for tenants who want to live in an environmentally friendly way.
The collaboration between SBP and Lansa shows how green investments can be realized through clear ambitions, close dialogue and effective implementation. It is an example of how the real estate industry can contribute concretely to the climate transition – one roof at a time.
