SBP has recently completed a solar project in collaboration with Lansa Fastigheter, where a plant on an apartment building in Knivsta now supplies the property with self-generated, renewable electricity.

The plant on the property in Knivsta has a peak power of 45 kWp, which gives an annual production of about 39,000 kilowatt hours. This means a saving of 510 kilograms of carbon dioxide every year. This is the second project in the collaboration between SBP and Lansa Fastigheter, which has already installed solar energy on a property in Karlstad.

The project in Knivsta was carried out during an intensive period from late February to early March. "Thanks to careful planning and close collaboration with the building's operating staff, the project went very smoothly, which explains the relatively short installation time," says Mobin Jafari, project manager from SBP.

- There was a clear common goal from the start. The fact that Lansa Fastigheter was very committed, could make quick decisions and everyone involved had a strong drive was crucial to the success of the project. It is clear that sustainability is a strong issue for them," says Mobin Jafari.

For Lansa Fastigheter, this is not an isolated initiative, but part of a broader commitment to the climate. The company is working strategically to reduce its emissions and aims to reach net zero by 2045. In 2023, it reduced greenhouse gas emissions from its own operations by over 70 percent, including through a transition to fossil-free district heating and energy efficiency measures.

- The investment in solar energy is seen as a natural step in Lanza's sustainability journey. In addition to the climate benefits, it also means lower operating costs and an increased value for the property. It also makes it more attractive to tenants who want to live environmentally friendly.

The collaboration between SBP and Lansa shows how green investments can be realized through clear ambitions, close dialogue and effective implementation. It is an example of how the real estate industry can make a concrete contribution to the climate transition - one roof at a time.
