The project, which started in March 2025 with installation on the first building, comprises a total of 182 kW of solar energy and 120 kW of energy storage distributed over two properties. Currently, approximately 40 percent of the solar cell work has been completed – the installations are in place on three roofs, while connection to inverters remains.
Work is proceeding in parallel with the development of the entire profile project with its spectacular architecture.
– It is a project with a strong focus on sustainability and a clear drive forward. We see a seamless collaboration between all involved parties – both with Wåhlin Fastigheter and construction company Partnex. It is a collaboration characterized by short decision-making paths, clear communication and great commitment, says Johan Braunerhielm, project manager at SBP.
This is not the first time SBP and Wåhlin Fastigheter have collaborated - something you can read about here, among other things.
The project called Hallonporten is part of a larger new construction initiative where Wåhlin Fastigheter is developing both rental apartments and premises in the area. Already in previous communication, the real estate company has emphasized the importance of building the homes of the future with sustainability in focus – not only environmentally, but also socially.
– Providing a new production with self-produced and stored solar energy is a natural step for Wåhlin. It contributes to lower operating costs and reduces the climate footprint, which they are highly aware of and also very committed to, says Johan Braunerhielm.
With solar energy on the roofs, batteries in the buildings and a cohesive project team, the Hallonbergen project stands as a good example of how sustainable urban development can be implemented in practice.
