Wåhlin Fastigheter has reached a major milestone in their sustainability efforts. They have now installed 1000 kilowatts on their apartment buildings with the help of SBP - and there is more to come.

– We at Wåhlin Fastigheter believe that solar energy is a good way to contribute to the environment and at the same time get green energy to our properties, especially those with high consumption, says Bo Dunér about the investment in green energy.

Since 2018, 22 solar power plants have been commissioned thanks to a successful collaboration between SBP and Wåhlin Fastigheter. Work is currently underway on six projects at properties in Märsta, Solna, Sundbyberg, Enskede, Bromma and Gärdet in Stockholm. Before the summer, the project in Märsta was the first of these to be completed, where three solar power plants on different buildings are connected to one and the same electrical center where the need to streamline energy use was greatest.

The long collaboration has made the projects run smoothly, according to Johan Braunerhielm, project manager at SBP.
– The collaboration works perfectly. After 22 projects together, we have gotten to know each other well and know exactly where we stand. This means that we always have a good dialogue before, during and after each individual project, he says.

Has even more projects in the pipeline

But this is far from the last thing the real estate company is doing regarding green energy. It is already clear that the collaboration will continue during 2025 with additional solar energy projects, which means that they are approaching 1200kW of solar energy.
– SBP has a very good overall concept and with good feedback as well as continuous information about ongoing projects, says Bo Dunér about the collaboration.

However, at the next installation, they will take further steps by helping to balance the Swedish electricity grid with the help of energy storage, thereby enabling more future solar cell installations in the country. Alexander Backström, Account Advisor at SBP, has been involved since the beginning of the collaboration with Wåhlin Fastigheter and has a bright outlook on the company's green energy investments.
– It is fantastic to have continued confidence to be a part of their sustainable journey. It is particularly exciting to do the first project with energy storage, which I hope will lead to an even broader collaboration in the future.
