Two properties in Eskilstuna have received new solar cell installations through a collaboration between SBB and SBP. Together, the installations mean almost 700 kWp of renewable energy, which strengthens the company's long-term sustainability work and contributes to the goal of carbon neutrality by 2030.
A 500 kWp photovoltaic system has been installed at a secondary school and an office building has received 164 kWp under the same project management.
- "We are very pleased with how the project has progressed. Our plants are up and running, and together with the customer we are looking forward to the commissioning of the plants," says Mobin Jafari, Project Manager at SBP.
He emphasizes the good cooperation with SBB as a success factor, both historically and in these specific projects.
- The client is very committed and shows a strong sense of responsibility for both properties and tenants. We have a close and transparent dialog that allows us to constantly find solutions going forward. Together with their property manager, we have built up a really good cooperation model," he says.
The project has also included work in the switchgear, which has added value to the properties.
- By creating better structure and order in the switchgear, we strengthen the whole and make the plants even more reliable. It is part of our way of delivering long-term solutions that the customer can feel confident about," says Mobin Jafari.
For SBB, the initiative is a clear step towards the company's sustainability goals, including improving the energy class of all properties.
- "This project shows how we can combine sustainability with value creation. Solar energy helps to reduce the climate footprint and at the same time strengthens the attractiveness of the properties," says Mobin Jafari.
