40 properties in Stockholm and Uppsala have been fitted with solar panels through a new project between Stena Fastigheter and SBP.

SBP is carrying out an extensive solar project for Stena Fastigheter, covering a total of 40 rental properties in Stockholm and Uppsala. The installations are spread over seven areas - Luthagen, Ängby Park, Jakobsberg, Sköndal, Haninge, Vega and Bredäng - and together amount to an output of 1,385 kW.

The project is being carried out in close collaboration with Stena Fastigheter and is part of the company's long-term investment in renewable energy and climate-neutral properties.

- We have handled all 40 properties, from building permits and pre-notifications to the final inspections. For having been so many installations on properties in several different municipalities in parallel, the delivery has been incredibly well structured thanks to both our dedicated contact persons at Stena Fastigheter and SBP's experience in similar types of complete deliveries, says Josefine Pettersson, project manager at SBP.

The project has been ongoing for a long period, with several sub-areas now completed and inspected with good results. According to Josefine Pettersson, the collaboration has been characterized by clarity, structure and an open dialogue between all parties involved.

- The collaboration has worked very well. We have had a common focus on planning, clarity and forward planning, which has meant that the project has run smoothly all the way, says Josefine Pettersson.

Long-term cooperation to achieve sustainability goals

For Stena Fastigheter, the investment is part of the company's goal of being electricity-neutral by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2045. The company has invested heavily in solar energy in recent years and already produces over 5 GWh of its own electricity per year.

- They have a clear plan and great ambitions in the field of sustainability. It is inspiring to be part of their work towards climate neutrality," says Josefine Pettersson.

The collaboration between SBP and Stena Fastigheter has been ongoing for several years and now includes a total of over 2.4 MW of installed solar power. With each new project, the partnership is strengthened and contributes to a more sustainable and energy efficient property portfolio.

Alexander Backström has been involved throughout the years in various roles and highly values Stena Fastigheter's commitment.
- "Over the years, we have always had extremely good dialog and this is largely thanks to the fact that in many respects we speak the same language in terms of sustainability and quality," he says.

This is something that Josefine Pettersson notices in her daily work, both how it has been up to now and before the remaining areas are to be completed.

- "We have built a good structure together and a common understanding of how we want to work. This means that we can constantly develop our cooperation and deliver even better results," concludes Josefine Pettersson.
