Like the industry's development, SBP is steadily moving up. Now Geri Zyka has joined and strengthened our well-established project group – and contributes with strong expertise in green technology.

Geri Zyka's career as an electrical engineer began in his native Greece at a company that manufactured undersea cables. It was immediately after studying at the University of West Attica in Athens and a six-month erasmus program at the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg, an hour outside Munchen.
That was before he eventually, by pure chance, ended up in Sweden in 2015.
"After my training, I returned to Greece and worked for a while so that I would then go back to Germany. But instead I ended up at a company in Sweden and the plan then was really that it would just be a quick stop and then move to Canada. It didn't happen, but I stayed here and of course I'm happy about that today," says Geri Zyka.

Former ServiceIngenjör at Climeon

In his role as service interior owner, he spent almost four years at the greentech company Climeon, which manufactures and installs machines that convert heat into electricity. Curiosity about other areas of green electricity made him want to apply to the SBP.
I wanted to stay in green energy. I don't think the technology itself is very complicated, but it's everything around me that becomes new to me. For me, it was important that the electricity was there and the relationship I have with what I love to do was central to the role. As a project manager, I can be more on site at the installations, meet the customers, see all the systems and cables come into place, and be able to learn even more from the "solar side" of the industry, says Geri Zyka and continues:

"The best thing about SBP is that it's not just about solar cells, but also energy storage, electric car charging and some other things. There is flexibility in the offer that makes it particularly interesting. In addition, I quickly gained a corporate feeling, both in terms of SBP's work routines and the high competence of my new colleagues.

"Maintains a high level of expertise"

Katarina Waniewska, Head of Project Management at SBP, sees the recruitment of Geri Zyka as a real statement of strength.
"It's great that he's now with us. His experience of green technology combined with real cutting-edge skills in electricity means that he maintains a high level of expertise in a project manager role. In addition, it once again proves that SBP is an attractive workplace that attracts the top tier of our industry," she says.
