Stena Fastigheter and SBP have now installed an energy storage unit in Ängby Park, a residential area located in Bromma, north of Stockholm.

Stena Fastigheter offers energy-efficient apartments in Ängby Park, a green and pleasant area in Stockholm with a focus on sustainability and modern architecture. Therefore, green energy is part of the company's solid work in sustainable real estate.

The project has involved customized solutions to meet the specific needs of the client, including the creation of a purpose-built room to ensure fire safety and optimal operating conditions.

- The team designed a reinforced fire cell with adapted ventilation to maximize safety. By taking these measures, SBP delivers a reliable and safe solution, ensuring that the building meets a high safety standard for the client," said Saeed Najafi, Project Manager at SBP.

It is a battery storage system developed by SBP itself. This is to ensure that specifications for high fire safety and system performance are in line with the company's vision of future-proof green energy plants and a high-quality overall delivery at all stages of the project.

Long-term cooperation

Stena Fastigheter is pleased with the project and emphasizes the long-term cooperation with SBP.

- We at Stena Fastigheter are very pleased to have completed the energy storage project in Ängby Park together with SBP. It feels both safe and satisfying to work with a supplier we have had a long and well-functioning collaboration with, says Marcus Bromer, Energy Controller at Stena Fastigheter.

Over the years, Stena Fastigheter and SBP have had a solid collaboration on both solar energy and energy storage. This project is the fourth on the energy storage side and also the single largest unit to date.

 - Energy storage is a key part of our commitment to self-generated electricity and an important piece of the puzzle in achieving our climate goal of halving our carbon footprint by 2030. By storing solar electricity, supporting electric car charging and cutting power peaks, we can future-proof our properties and businesses, while making them more self-sufficient in a time of volatile electricity prices and increasing electrification.
