Through major sustainable investments, Stena Fastigheter can now produce the equivalent of a full-year consumption of electricity for 200 apartments.

The investment in Bredäng is the latest installation where the real estate company Stena Fastigheter makes a clear contribution to its sustainability journey. By investing in solar cells, apartments in Bredäng are now powered by self-generated electricity.
We at SBP were given the honour of contributing to the green transition in a holistic concept, which included project management, technology delivery, installation and ongoing monitoring and support. Some of the features of the installation include digital module measurement, additional security features, and detailed system layout.
"We have had a business dialogue with Stena for a long time and it feels really fun to finish with a facility that matches their environmental vision," says Marcus Wicén, Head of Sales Development at SBP, and continues:

"I think they chose to work with us because of the way we view the business from a holistic perspective. This in combination with technology choices that prioritize quality and long-term perspective.

200 apartments' annual electricity consumption 'just a start'

Stena Fastigheter themselves describes the project, in a post on their own LinkedIn profile, as a major step in their ambitions to work even more towards sustainability in the future.
"In Stockholm alone, we have currently installed solar cells that will give us about 400,000 KWh/year, which corresponds to 200 apartments' annual electricity consumption. And it's just a start to our green journey with solar cells."

The PV plant in Bredäng has a capacity of approximately 165,000 kWh per year, which corresponds to the electricity consumption of 80 apartments. As a result, this facility is Stena Fastigheter's single largest at present. Marcus Wicén continues to take a positive view of Stena's development in sustainability work.
"It is an exciting company to work with, especially in the way they choose to work from a sustainability perspective both for the environment and in the development of society.
