Stena Fastigheter's investment in sustainability continues. Most recently, a solar cell system in Haninge, which makes it possible for more homes within Stena Fastigheter's portfolio to live even more sustainably.

Stena fastigheter is taking bigger steps in its sustainable journey through a solar cell system in Haninge. The new facility is estimated to be able to produce more than 250,000 kWh each year.
"Together with Sustainable Business Partner, we are now implementing a sustainability initiative where solar cells are installed on our roofs in Haninge," writes Stena Fastigheter on LinkedIn.

The facility contains a total of 768 solar cell modules and will be completely completed at the end of June. The facility will produce electricity equivalent to over 70 apartments' annual electricity consumption.
– As always, the collaboration with Stena works incredibly well. Marcus Bromér, together with the property technicians in Haninge, makes the project much easier to work with, says Viktor Hagström, project manager at SBP.

"Exciting company to work with"

It is part of the property company's sustainability goals, where they aim, among other things, to have 1000 sustainable homes by 2024 and to reduce their climate footprint by 50 percent by 2030.
"This initiative is a step in our sustainability work and our sustainability goals, but also an important step on the road to a renewable world," they write in the post.

Previously, SBP and Stena Fastigheter have collaborated in a project in Bredäng, which we have previously written about (read more here). Then a facility was built with a capacity of just over 160,000 kWh per year. In connection with this, Marcus Wicén, Head of Sales Development at SBP, praised Stena Fastigheter's green commitment.
– It is an exciting company to work with, especially in the way they choose to work from a sustainability aspect, both for the environment and in social development.
