Stena Fastigheter's commitment to sustainability continues. The latest in the line is a solar cell plant in Haninge, which enables more properties within Stena Fastigheter's portfolio to live even more sustainably.

Stena real estate takes greater steps in the sustainable journey through a solar cell plant in Haninge. The new plant is estimated to produce more than 250,000 kWh each year.
"Together with Sustainable Business Partner, we are now implementing a sustainability initiative where solar cells are installed on our roofs in Haninge", stena fastigheter writes on LinkedIn.

The plant contains a total of 768 solar modules and will be fully completed by the end of June. The plant will produce electricity equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of over 70 apartments.
"As always, the collaboration with Stena works incredibly well. Marcus Bromér, together with the real estate technicians in Haninge, makes the project very easy to work with," says Viktor Hagström, Project Manager at SBP.

"Exciting companies to work with"

It is part of the real estate company's sustainability goals, where they aim, among other things, to get 1000 sustainable homes just in time for 2024 and to reduce their carbon footprint by 50 percent by 2030.
"This initiative is a step in our sustainability work and our sustainability goals, but also an important step towards a renewable world," they write in the post.

Previously, we at SBP and Stena Fastigheter have collaborated on a project in Bredäng, which we have previously written about (read more here). At that time, a plant with a capacity of just over 160,000 kWh per year was built. In connection with this, Marcus Wicén, Head of Sales Development at SBP, praised Stena Fastigheter's green commitment.
"It is an exciting company to work with, especially in the way they choose to work from a sustainability perspective both for the environment and in the development of society.
